Privacy
This page explains what the site collects, why it is collected, and the practical choices available to you.
Forms and messages
When you subscribe or send a request, the site receives your email address and any name, message, category, or service you provide. It also stores a submission identifier, the internal source page, an optional answer to “How did you find me?”, and a reduced first-touch record: one channel category, an external hostname only, and the landing pathname. Referrer paths, search terms, URL queries, fragments, and campaign values are not stored with the lead. These details go only to the site’s Supabase lead inbox so Muhamad can reply or manage the updates you requested. Form fields are never sent to analytics or notification emails. To prevent form abuse, a one-way pseudonymous network token and request count may be retained for up to two days; the network address itself is not stored.
Browsing analytics
PostHog analytics does not load until you choose “Allow analytics.” If allowed, the site records anonymous page views, reduced first-touch attribution, interactions, performance, heatmaps, and session replays. PostHog stores a persistent anonymous identifier in a cookie and local storage so visits can be understood over time; it is never connected to the details you enter in a form.
Replays mask every input and exclude regions marked as private, including the site’s forms. Console logs, form values, URL query strings, hashes, raw referrers, campaign values, and automatic error messages or stack traces are not sent. Public page text, browser and device details, approximate location, interaction timing, and performance measurements may be included. PostHog is disabled on localhost, preview deployments, admin pages, and editing pages.
Global Privacy Control remains a hard opt-out. Do Not Track keeps analytics off until you explicitly choose Allow for akoum.me; that choice overrides Do Not Track only for this site. Declining sends nothing to PostHog. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time; doing so stops future collection and clears PostHog’s analytics persistence from this browser.
Anonymous traffic and performance totals
On the public production site, Vercel Web Analytics records anonymous, aggregated page-view information and Speed Insights records anonymous Core Web Vitals. The site sends only the production origin and pathname: query strings and fragments are removed, private routes and previews are excluded, and no custom events or form content are sent. These services do not use the PostHog identifier or create session replays. They operate independently of the PostHog consent choice and provide total-traffic and field-performance measurement.
Article view counters
Blog pages increment an aggregate counter in Supabase. The counter stores the article slug and total only, not an IP address or form details. A session-storage marker prevents a refresh from being counted repeatedly in the same browser tab session.
